Greek Week at Texas State is a week-long event sponsored by the Order of Omega and the Greek Honor Society, to promote unification of the Greek community through philanthropic and educational events and competition.
Nationally, the event originated in 1930 at the University of Miami-Ohio and has expanded to the majority of campuses with an active Greek system.
Greek Week is held every spring semester.
Typical events include the following:
- St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Four-Square Tournament
- educational speech by the All Greek Speaker, who addresses the entire Greek community
- school supplies drive for the San Marcos Education Foundation
- LipSync competition
- participation in Bobcat Build
