The Texas State Student Foundation and Dean of Students Office are proud to host the annual Bobcat Pause Memorial Service. Bobcat Pause is held each April and provides the Texas State community with a time to remember and honor Texas State faculty, staff, students, and retired faculty and staff who have passed away during the preceding year. With this event, Student Foundation hopes to instill the importance of remembrance and community, and hopes to offer comfort to those who mourn the deceased. It is our compassion and caring for each other that reflect the excellence of our university and what it truly means to be a Bobcat.

The ceremony includes remarks by the university president, words of comfort, and a roll call of those being remembered. The university community, and friends and family of the deceased are invited to join in the honoring of fallen Bobcats. Attendees are encouraged to bring photos or flowers to display in honor of their loved ones.

Bobcat Pause has been a part of Texas State tradition since 1987, when it was introduced by the Associated Student Government. Since that time, Student Foundation has been entrusted with coordinating this important annual event. If you have questions about Bobcat Pause, please contact the Dean of Students Office at (512)245-5323.
