Pride and Traditions

The preservation and observation of Texas State traditions promotes pride and develops a more cohesive university community. But in order to honor Texas State traditions, their origins and functions must be recorded for posterity. (Pictured at left, the 1923 track team.)

The Pride and Traditions Committee hopes the information contained in these webpages will help you learn more about the Texas State traditions you hold dear, develop interest in practices that are new to you, and maybe inspire the resurrection of "resting traditions" of bygone days.  (Pictured at right, the 1921 basketball team.)
